Prototype castings isn't our middle name, it's our entire name and has been for 33 years.  Although production castings are the mainstay of our business, the rapid turnaround of engineering models and short run production castings is the driving force of our company. We started producing patterns to prove out the process before production tooling was committed to. In many cases, such as on all of the space shuttles, we never did build hard tooling because of the limited quantity of shuttles being produced. We produced a dozen or more very large, complex electronic housings for the shuttles in the mid-seventies and they are still in use today. With the advent of Stereolithography machines and their continual improvements in quality, we no longer have to produce the patterns from Plexiglas; the machines do it for us faster and better with an unbelievable range of configurations possible. Today we manufacture prototype castings from "Quickcast" patterns, polyurethane patterns made from rubber molds (made from SLA patterns), SLA produced wax patterns, machined waxes and waxes produced from rubber or epoxy tooling made from a master. Generally, we can produce a casting from anything we can melt out of a ceramic mold, and we'll pour almost any alloy into it. If you have something you need fast, and you have a sketch, drawing, CAD file or sample...send it to us. We'll have metal parts in your hands in as little as three to four days.
